AO Video: Dawn McLaren

Dawn McLaren

Dawn McLaren is a research economist at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Her research focuses on border issues, the economics of networking, and the forecasting of regional and international economic variables, including income, retail sales, construction, population and exchange rates. In this video McLaren takes apart some of the myriad assumptions about illegal immigrants that lead to politically expedient, but often erroneous conclusions.

Steve Troxel 8/20/2009 12:38:05 PM :

Hi Dawn! I'm not sure if you can help me--nor am I aware if you ever had the opportunity of even meeting him while he was a ASU. Do you know--or can you find someone who may have contact information for: Harry Wiggins? He was an old Business professor in the ASU Business School--pre-W. P. Carey era, who--among other things, was actively involved with the Supply Chain Students. I believe he retired in the early 1990s. We named our Scholarship at NAPM-AZ after him, and are going to be awarding the Scholarships at either the October or November monthly meeting, and--as a courtesy, I would like to extend him an invitation to be our guest. I haven't seen him for at least 8-9 years, and believe he still lives somewhere in the Valley--Scottsdale perhaps.

I can be reached at: 602-712-7053 during the day and 480-558-3690 at night or on the weekends.

Thanks!
